Como foi feito o holograma de Tupac Shakur?

Projeção refletida em tela é o segredo da tecnologia, que é mais simples do que parece.Dias depois de sua aparição, o holograma que “reviveu” o rapper Tupac Shakur, morto em 1996, continua dando o que falar em todo o mundo. Ninguém duvida de que não se tratava de algum tipo de sósia do músico no palco do festival Coachella, mas muitas pessoas ainda não acreditam que a tecnologia esteja tão avançada a ponto de produzir imagens tão perfeitas.

Mas, como demonstra o Wall Street Journal, o negócio nem é assim tão complicado. O que foi mostrado no show não eram imagens de arquivo, mas uma imagem sintética criada em computador e projetada com o auxílio da reflexão, como mostra a imagem ao lado.

Explicamos: primeiro, um Tupac em computação gráfica é criado a partir de movimentos e da aparência do rapper. O vídeo da apresentação digitalizada é então projetado por um aparelho apontado para o chão do palco, que é feito de uma superfície reflexiva.

O conteúdo é então refletido para o fundo do palco, onde está um plástico altamente leve, reflexivo e quase transparente, chamado Mylar. É ele o responsável por exibir a imagem que você acompanhou no vídeo. Para fazer um dueto com o Tupac, como fez Snoop Dogg no último domingo (15), basta posicionar o artista atrás dessa tela (e garantir que ele não ocupe a mesma posição da projeção).

Alguns artistas, como o também rapper Dr. Dre e Snoop Dogg, confirmaram o interesse de fazer uma turnê com o uso da tecnologia, que teria custado até US$ 400 mil. Algumas indicações apontam para a realização de um festival na presença de vários músicos do gênero, além da projeção de Tupac.

A responsável pela criação é a Digital Domain Media Group, uma empresa de efeitos especiais que já atuou em grandes produções de Hollywood, como “O Curioso Caso de Benjamin Button”. Apesar dos gastos, a companhia está em alta e pode investir nesse tipo de apresentação daqui para frente. Será que veremos mais famosos já falecidos reaparecendo por aí? Tomara que sim!

Tupac volta em holograma e faz grande apresentação

A apresentação do rapper Snoop Dogg durante o festival Coachella neste domingo (15) “ressuscitou” o também rapper Tupac Shakur através de um holograma, mais de 15 anos após a sua morte.

O holograma de Tupac Shakur gritou “E aí, Coachella!” para o público e cantou ao lado de Snoop Dogg “Come With Me”, “Gangsta Party” e “Hail Mary”. Essa última música nunca foi apresentada ao vivo por Tupac Shakur e foi lançada após a sua morte.

A tecnologia 3D usada para formar a imagem do rapper falecido tem valor avaliado em US$ 10 milhões, segundo o jornal The Mirror. O aparelho já foi usado para que Mariah Carey fizesse cinco apresentações simultâneas pela Europa no ano passado.

Tupac Shakur morreu aós ser baleado em Las Vegas no dia 7 de setembro de 1996 por dois assaltantes não identificados. No ano passado, um homem chamado Dexter Isaac afirmou ter sido o autor dos disparos. Isaac está preso desde 1998 acusado de roubo, fraude, assassinato, entre outros delitos.
